A Lifelong Love for Animals & the Journey to Keeper’s Heart

From the time she could walk, Jennifer’s love for animals extended far beyond her own. She was the child who stopped to help every stray, who cared for neighbors’ pets as if they were her own, and who found her greatest joy in the presence of animals. Horses, in particular, captured her heart at an early age. She spent every possible moment at the barn—mucking stalls, cleaning pastures, doing whatever it took—just for the chance to spend even a few fleeting minutes with a horse.

Her deep connection to nature was equally ingrained in her childhood. With her mother, and later her younger sister, she would collect heart-shaped treasures from the world around them—rocks, leaves, and anything else nature left behind. It was a small but meaningful ritual, a quiet reminder that love could be found in the simplest of places.

Years passed, but Jennifer’s dreams never faded. A childhood watercolor painting—a tiny home beside a horse fence—lingered in her mind as a vision of the life she longed for. After years of leasing horses and working tirelessly in barns, that vision became reality. She found her dream horse, Jolene, and soon after, stumbled upon a small five-acre farm for sale.

During the open house, as she walked the land, she discovered several heart-shaped rocks scattered throughout the property. It was as if the universe was leaving her a message—this was home. The waiting felt endless, but when the offer was accepted, Jennifer knew her childhood dream had finally come to life. Jolene was coming home, and Keeper’s Heart Farm was born—a place where passion, dedication, and a lifelong love for animals would continue to thrive.
